USKCR Report
This report is the culmination of the US-Korea Commercial Relations (USKCR) – Beyond Washington and Seoul project. The project’s overarching goal is to highlight the local impact of US-Korea trade and investment and its value to communities in both nations. The USKCR project has brought together a cohort of local-level Korean and American economic development professionals to conduct research that elucidates “on-the-ground” issues affecting US-Korean commercial relations outside of either nation’s capital. This compelling and timely research has been captured in the briefs that make up this report.
The East-West Center proudly organized this projectwith the support of the US Embassy in Seoul and in partnership with the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
USKCR Professional Exchange & Field Research
The cohort's research was enriched through virtual and in-person workshops, during which cohort members exchanged ideas with one another and engaged with other professionals involved in US-Korea commerce.
