Resilient Pacific Islands Leaders Fellowship Resilient Pacific Islands Leaders Fellowship
Apr 08, 2024 - May 18, 2024

The Pacific Islands Development Program welcomes the 2024 Resilient Pacific Islands Leaders (RPIL), Generation 2 fellows. Twenty-three fellows from 18 Pacific Islands Conference of Leaders (PICL) member countries, territories, and the State of Hawaii are participating in a six-week hybrid leadership development program. The program includes a two-week asynchronous section and a four-week in-person residency including a one-week field immersion in Washington, DC.

The curriculum for these rising leaders is centered around areas of critical importance to humanity identified in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership and in alignment with the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent. The program strengthens participants’ knowledge and understanding of key regional economic, social, political, health, educational and environmental issues, and cultivate culturally sustaining leadership capacities.
