Amy Namur is a Program Manager at the East–West Center in Washington, where she focuses on the Center’s Asia Matters for America initiative. She holds a MSc in Public Policy & Human Development and a BA in Asian Languages & Literatures (Chinese and Korean focus) and Political Science.
Before joining the Center, she worked on taxation and land policy issues as a Research Associate at George Washington University and contracted as a Data Analyst for the US Marshals. She has also worked previously with the East-West Center, first as a participant in the Young Professionals Program and later as a Project Assistant for The Pacific Islands Matter for America/America Matters for the Pacific Islands publication.
Amy received a dual MSc in Public Policy & Human Development, with a specialization in Migration Studies from Maastricht University and the United Nations University-MERIT in Maastricht, Netherlands in 2019. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a BA in Asian Languages & Literatures (Chinese and Korean focus), Political Science (Asia focus), and a minor in world religions in 2015.
