Elucidating the Periphery: Rethinking Neglected Narratives and Novel Approaches

The East-West Center will welcome graduate students from around the world for the 23rd Annual International Graduate Student Conference (EWC-IGSC) on the Asia Pacific region, taking place in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, USA from February 15–17, 2024. The student-run Conference provides an opportunity to share interdisciplinary perspectives formally, through presenting research papers and attending other panel presentations, and informally in the multi-cultural environment of the East-West Center in Hawai‘i. This year's conference, with its theme of "Elucidating the Periphery," seeks to provide a space where participants venture beyond their own boundaries to interface with neglected narratives from peripheral perspectives as well as novel techniques in a transdisciplinary context.

Thursday, February 15, 5:00-6:30: Opening Keynote 

Friday, February 16, 8:00-5:00: Panel and Poster Presentations

Saturday, February 17: 8:00-5:00: Panel and Poster Presentations; Closing Panel

The keynote address, closing panel and conference paper presentations are open to the public. Receptions and meals are open to conference registrants only. Same-day registration will be available on Thursday, February 15.
