Program

The second phase of the East-West Center's cross-border journalism programming started in January 2018 and focused on two groups: media gatekeepers and the next generation of journalists. Editors and news directors of the 14 news organizations that participated in the previous year's cross-border reporting trips met for a two-day dialogue in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the end of February 2018. The objective of the Gatekeepers Dialogue was to discuss how the participating news organizations could continue cross-border collaboration.
